Wi-Fi, networks, cameras and access control, installed properly.
Craig has worked on network infrastructure since 2000 and has run a wireless ISP since 2006. We design, install and support the systems your business depends on, from a single office to a multi-building property.
What you get
The whole network, and what rides on it.
Wi-Fi
Business and guest Wi-Fi.
Coverage planned for how the space is actually used, with separate staff and guest networks. Experienced with Ubiquiti UniFi.
Networks
Wired networks that make sense.
Switching, routing, firewalls and VPNs, set up cleanly, labelled and documented so the next person can follow them.
Cameras
IP security cameras.
Camera placement, recording, retention and secure remote viewing, on a network designed to carry them.
Access control
Door access you can manage.
Readers, keypads and credentials tied to a managed user list, so access can be granted and revoked from a screen instead of by re-keying doors.
Wireless links
Where cable and fibre do not reach.
Point-to-point and point-to-multipoint wireless links, drawing on running a wireless ISP since 2006.
Remote sites
Camps, lodges and job sites.
Power, distance and weather planned in from the start, by someone with camp management experience at remote northern sites.
Where it fits
Built around the kind of site you run.
Hotels, motels and lodges
One system for guests and back-of-house.
Guest Wi-Fi sized for full occupancy, a separate network for operations, and cameras and door access managed together.
Offices and shops
The basics that keep a business running.
Reliable Wi-Fi, a proper firewall, and cameras that record when they should.
Property managers
Many units, one plan.
Shared networks, door access and cameras across multiple units or buildings.
Multi-location businesses
The same setup at every site.
A consistent, documented network at each location, managed from one place.
Trades-backed installs
Many network jobs stall on the physical work. With a hands-on trades background in carpentry and mechanical work, Craig can mount equipment, run cable and tidy up without waiting on other contractors. See the full skills and certifications.
How it works
What to expect.
-
Step 1
Walk-through
We look at the site, talk through what you need, and note anything that will affect the install.
-
Step 2
Design and quote
A written design and quote with options, so you know what you are buying and why.
-
Step 3
Install and test
Equipment mounted, cabled, configured, tested and labelled, and the site left tidy.
-
Step 4
Hand over
Documentation of what was installed, a walk-through of how to use it, and support afterwards if you want it.
Questions
Common questions.
Do you only work with Ubiquiti UniFi?
We have deployed Ubiquiti UniFi. If you already have other equipment, tell us what it is and we will say whether we can work with it.
Can you add cameras or door access to an existing network?
Usually, yes. We start by checking that the network can carry them, then design around what you already own.
Do you travel to remote sites?
Often, yes. Tell us where the site is and we will confirm whether and how we can reach it.
Do you take jobs outside Northern Ontario?
Yes, by arrangement. We are available across Canada and have done on-site work much farther from home. Tell us where the site is and what you need.
Who supports it afterwards?
We do. You will have documentation of what was installed, and you can get in touch when something needs attention.
Where we work
Based in Northern Ontario, available across Canada.
Local
Based in Cochrane, Ontario. Local on-site work, all within a two-hour drive of Cochrane, including:
Available across Canada
Available for work anywhere in Canada. Support, consulting, website work and hosting can be done remotely. On-site jobs much farther afield can be arranged, and have been done before.
Next step
Planning an install or an upgrade?
Tell us about the site and what you want it to do. We will come back with questions or a written quote.
