Dealer Boss

Buy in bulk. Split to retail. Track every gram, every dollar, every unit.

Dealer Boss is the operations platform LLnet Inc. built for shops and small distributors who buy inventory in bulk from suppliers, split it into retail-size fractions, and sell it to clients. It is currently in the final stages of development ahead of customer launch.

What it does

  • Bulk purchasing — create and manage purchase orders to suppliers, track expected deliveries, and receive shipments with batch numbers and expiry dates.
  • Bulk-to-retail splitting — take bulk stock (50 lbs, 20 kg, a case of 100) and split it into retail units (5 lb bags, 500 g jars, individual pieces) with automatic stock deduction and cost-per-unit calculation.
  • Dynamic measurement units — configure any unit of measure your business needs (weight, volume, length, count), with built-in conversion math so you can buy in kilograms and sell in grams without a calculator.
  • Retail product management — every split creates a retail product with auto-generated SKU, FIFO costing, stock tracking, and margin calculation.
  • Client and supplier management — maintain your supplier directory and client base in one place, tied directly to your purchase orders and sales.
  • Reporting — dashboards that surface margin, stock levels, split history, and low-stock alerts at a glance.

How it works

The workflow follows the way operators actually move product:

  1. Set up your units — define the measurement units your business uses (lbs, kg, grams, boxes, bags, jars) in Settings.
  2. Order bulk — create a purchase order to your supplier for raw bulk product.
  3. Receive — when the shipment arrives, mark items received and bulk stock goes up automatically.
  4. Split — open the Split to Retail screen, pick a bulk product, choose how much goes into each retail unit, how many units to create, and set a price. Dealer Boss deducts the bulk stock, creates the retail product, and calculates your cost per unit.
  5. Sell — the retail product is ready for sale with accurate costing and margin visibility.

Why it works

Dealer Boss was designed alongside the operators who actually use it. Every screen exists because a real shop asked for it. The system doesn’t assume you sell discrete SKUs off a shelf — it understands that you buy a 20 kg pail and sell 500 g jars, and it handles the math, the stock tracking, and the costing for you.

Stack

React frontend, Node.js + Express API, PostgreSQL, deployed on a dedicated Canadian VM with Let’s Encrypt TLS, nginx, and PM2 — same operational pattern we use across every LLnet Inc. product. 100% Canadian-hosted, including all AI features (LLM inference served from Cerebras data centers in Canada).
